- Preparing and cooking breakfast
- Take control of the breakfast service and ensure guests receive a truly delicious and memorable breakfast
- Ensure that any anticipated shortages are communicated promptly to the Sous Chef or the Head Chef
- Ensure that all dishes are being prepared to the correct recipe and to the correct quantity and served to the specifications set on the menu
- Sett up and cleaning down the kitchen after breakfast.
- Ensure the kitchen is kept clean and hygienic at all times.
- Ensure all stocks are kept under optimum conditions.
- Ensure all mise-en-place is always freshly prepared and on time.
- Ensure all dishes are being prepared to the correct recipe and to the correct quantity.
- Maintain On Going “Clean as you Go” Practices.
- Take environmentally friendly initiatives
- Be efficient, caring and friendly in all communications when dealing with guests and colleagues
- Familiar with HACCP Standards and Health & Safety Regulations as stipulated by law
- A good standard of education, preferably an ITS graduate
- Possess high standards of cooking techniques and be innovative in their working approach
- Able to work on their own initiative
- Willing to work flexible hours
- Has a minimum of 2 years’ working experience in a similar position
