Job Summary
AX Hotels is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Head Housekeeper to join our team. This role is ideal for a hospitality professional with strong leadership skills and a passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences in a luxury hotel environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the housekeeping operation, maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness, and ensuring service excellence across all guest and back-of-house areas.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and inspire the housekeeping team to consistently deliver exceptional standards of cleanliness and guest service.
- Ensure compliance with Forbes Travel Guide standards and integrate service excellence into daily operations and team training.
- Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces to maintain high standards.
- Recruit, train, mentor, and develop team members while fostering a culture of accountability and professionalism.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives based on guest feedback, audits, and operational reviews.
- Conduct regular team briefings focused on service excellence, guest personalisation, cleanliness, and sustainability initiatives.
- Work closely with Front Office, Maintenance, Food & Beverage, and Reservations to ensure seamless operations and guest satisfaction.
- Monitor room readiness, special guest requests, and maintenance follow-ups.
- Ensure housekeeping procedures and standards are maintained and continuously improved.
- Manage guest room inventories, amenities, and supplies efficiently.
- Oversee lost-and-found procedures and ensure effective communication with guests.
- Review operational reports and follow up on any incidents or guest-related concerns.
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years' experience in a similar role.
- Previous experience in a hotel environment, preferably within a 5-star property.
- Fluent in spoken English.
- Excellent communication, organisational, and customer service skills.
- Ability to work on own initiative and lead a team effectively.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to service excellence.
- Excellent grooming and presentation standards.
- Ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
