Job Summary
We are seeking an enthusiastic Food & Beverage Operative to join our team at AX The Verdala, our luxury wellness destination. The ideal candidate will have a passion for delivering exceptional dining experiences and possess a keen eye for detail. As an F&B Operative, you will be responsible for ensuring smooth day-to-day operations on the restaurant floor, providing outstanding service to guests, and maintaining high standards in all areas of food and beverage service. You will also support the team in optimising guest satisfaction and contribute to the overall success of the restaurant.
Responsibilities:
- Greet and welcome guests in a friendly and professional manner, ensuring a warm and positive first impression. Provide information about dining options, amenities, and services, and assist with seating arrangements.
- Schedule and manage dining reservations, including coordinating with guests and kitchen staff to ensure timely seating and service. Handle special requests and accommodate changes or cancellations as needed.
- Address guest inquiries, requests, and concerns related to dining services. Offer recommendations on menu items based on individual preferences and dietary needs, and ensure all guest interactions are handled with care and attention.
- Ensure that dining areas are clean, organised, and well-maintained. Oversee the setup and breakdown of tables, and report any maintenance or equipment issues to the relevant departments promptly.
- Work closely with kitchen staff, servers, and other team members to provide a seamless and high-quality dining experience. Assist in coordinating and implementing dining service protocols and special events.
- Monitor and manage the inventory of dining resources, including tableware, utensils, and other supplies. Ensure that all resources are in good condition and appropriately stocked.
- Collect and review guest feedback on dining services and experiences. Use this information to suggest improvements and adjustments to enhance overall guest satisfaction.
- Adhere to all health, safety, and sanitation regulations related to dining services. Monitor and enforce protocols to ensure a safe and compliant dining environment.
- Perform administrative tasks related to dining services, including record-keeping, scheduling, and reporting. Maintain accurate records and assist in budgeting and planning for dining activities.
- Collaborate with other departments to integrate dining services into the broader guest experience. Ensure that dining offerings complement and enhance other aspects of the guest’s stay.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a Food & Beverage or similar hospitality role is preferred.
- A passion for delivering excellent customer service and maintaining high standards.
- Strong communication skills in English; proficiency in additional languages is an advantage.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Good organisational skills and attention to detail, ensuring seamless service.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- Experience with Forbes standards is highly desirable and will be considered a valuable asset.
- Basic computer skills to assist with POS systems and reporting tasks.
- A minimum of 2 years' experience in the same position is required.
- Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards; certifications in these areas will be considered a plus.
- A friendly and professional demeanour, with the ability to handle guest queries and complaints efficiently.
