Maintenance Technician

Job Summary

AX Hotels Qawra is looking for a Maintenance Technician. The main responsibilities of the role include technical hands-on support to all departments to ensure a smooth operation, resolve faults promptly, reduce downtime on repair tasks, while putting guest comfort and satisfaction as a priority.

Responsibilities:

• Carry out tests on building services, equipment, and installations.
• Use test equipment and keep related records
• Perform preventive maintenance work, service and repairs of hotel equipment, including gas and electrical kitchen equipment, refrigeration equipment, electrical and water systems, HVAC systems, swimming pools, and others.
• Attend to faults and daily maintenance in guest rooms in the absence of the dedicated Rooms Maintenance person.
• Carry out daily swimming pools maintenance which includes early morning pools vacuuming, backwash of filters, water tests (CL and PH) and chemical additives.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety standards.

Requirements:

• Excellent communication and listening skills.
• Good level of education with relevant qualifications.
• Sound knowledge of electrical systems and practices.
• Ability to work under pressure and multitask.
• Excellent organisational and prioritisation skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills.
• Must be mature, pleasant, courteous, cooperative and an enthusiastic team player who displays good people relation skills.
• Must be flexible in working hours, and willing to work night shifts, weekends and public holidays.
