Job Summary
AX Hotels Sliema are looking for an organised, driven, and people-oriented professional with a passion for HR, to join their team as a Human Resources Executive. The selected candidate will handle general administrative duties and support the Human Resources department with daily tasks. Key responsibilities will include coordinating and administering HR-related duties efficiently, assisting with recruitment, employee onboarding, and record management and ensuring the smooth execution of routine HR tasks and activities.
Responsibilities
- Support employee welfare, disciplinary matters, and engagement programs to foster a positive work environment.
- Assist with recruitment, onboarding, training, and maintaining updated records for all employees and interns.
- Ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and current legislation while recommending improvements.
- Facilitate communication of HR-related updates, benefits, and policies to staff.
- Monitor and support performance appraisals, summarizing results to develop training plans.
- Prepare and submit periodic reports, including payroll and HR documentation, ensuring confidentiality.
- Liaise with external organizations such as schools and community representatives to promote collaboration.
- Maintain staff facilities and oversee employee recognition initiatives.
- Participate in local HR conferences, seminars, and self-development opportunities.
- Act as a representative of the HR Manager in meetings and emergencies, adhering to the hotel’s evacuation plan.
Requirements
- Professional, mature, and well-groomed disposition.
- Fluent in English and Maltese (spoken and written) with excellent communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and email communication.
- Strong organisational, verbal, and written skills.
- Self-motivated, confident, and capable of working independently.
- Flexible with working hours; able to manage a 40-hour, office-based schedule.
- Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience.
- Knowledge of payroll and HR management systems will be an advantage.
- Experience in a similar role will be considered an asset.
- Candidate must already reside in Malta.
