General Maintenance

Summary

We are looking for a reliable and proactive General Maintenance employee to join our team. The ideal candidate will ensure that the hotel's facilities are well-maintained and functioning efficiently to provide a comfortable experience for our guests. This role involves general upkeep and repairs.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance tasks as directed by Management
• Conduct regular inspections to identify maintenance needs and report any major issues.
• Ensure common areas, guest rooms, and hotel facilities are in good working order.
• Assist with moving furniture and handling reported items that need repairs.
• Maintain the outdoor areas.
• Replace light bulbs, door handles, and other minor fixtures as needed.
• Keep maintenance tools and equipment organized and in good condition.
• Respond promptly to guest requests related to maintenance issues.
• Follow all health and safety regulations to ensure a safe environment for staff and guests.
• Ensure pool chemical level is in accordance with legislative requirements, is vacuumed and surrounding area maintained to standards established
• ​Carry out water safety checks and ensure that details are recorded

Requirements

• Excellent communication skills
• Fluent in English both written and spoken
• Basic IT skills
• Capable to work on their own initiative
• Excellent grooming standards
• Excellent organisational skills and has a service-oriented attitude
• Previous experience in a similar maintenance role
• Ability to work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Able to perform manual tasks, including lifting and moving items.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
