Summary
We are looking for a reliable and proactive General Maintenance employee to join our team. The ideal candidate will ensure that the hotel's facilities are well-maintained and functioning efficiently to provide a comfortable experience for our guests. This role involves general upkeep and repairs.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance tasks as directed by Management
- Conduct regular inspections to identify maintenance needs and report any major issues.
- Ensure common areas, guest rooms, and hotel facilities are in good working order.
- Assist with moving furniture and handling reported items that need repairs.
- Maintain the outdoor areas.
- Replace light bulbs, door handles, and other minor fixtures as needed.
- Keep maintenance tools and equipment organized and in good condition.
- Respond promptly to guest requests related to maintenance issues.
- Follow all health and safety regulations to ensure a safe environment for staff and guests.
- Ensure pool chemical level is in accordance with legislative requirements, is vacuumed and surrounding area maintained to standards established
- Carry out water safety checks and ensure that details are recorded
Requirements
- Excellent communication skills
- Fluent in English both written and spoken
- Basic IT skills
- Capable to work on their own initiative
- Excellent grooming standards
- Excellent organisational skills and has a service-oriented attitude
- Previous experience in a similar maintenance role
- Ability to work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Able to perform manual tasks, including lifting and moving items.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
