Job Summary
We are seeking dedicated and compassionate Nurses to provide the highest standard of nursing care, ensuring that the holistic needs of our residents are met. This role involves the comprehensive assessment of care needs and the delivery of quality nursing services in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team. The successful candidate will play a key role in promoting and restoring the health of residents by adhering to the nursing process, collaborating with physicians and other healthcare professionals, and offering physical and emotional support to residents and their families. Additionally, the role involves the supervision and guidance of assigned team members to ensure the highest standard of care.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct patient care, including the administration of medications, monitoring of vital signs, and accurate maintenance of patient records.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop, implement, and evaluate personalized care plans.
- Provide patient and family education on health conditions, treatment plans, and care procedures, promoting self-management where appropriate.
- Ensure patient safety by strictly adhering to clinical protocols and best practices.
- Respond to emergency situations, providing life-saving interventions and acute care as needed.
- Supervise and mentor healthcare support staff to maintain high levels of patient care and safety.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of care standards by participating in professional development and quality improvement initiatives.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical nursing experience, preferably within a care home or similar setting. Experience in managing chronic conditions such as diabetes, hypertension, cardiovascular diseases, and musculoskeletal disorders is essential. Experience in dementia care is a must.
- Current registration with the Nurse and Midwifery Council of Malta and possession of a valid Maltese Nursing License (RN).
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or a Diploma from an accredited nursing program.
- Strong clinical knowledge of nursing care practices and procedures
