Reservations Agent

Job Summary

At AX Hotels, we pride ourselves on offering exceptional hospitality experiences. Our team is dedicated to providing personalized and memorable stays for our guests. We are currently seeking a dynamic and customer-focused Reservations Agent to join our team and contribute to our continued success.

Responsibilities:

• Ensures the accuracy of input information in the reservations system.
• Immediately inform the Reservations Manager of any concerns relating to tight booking situations.
• Liaise and collaborate with all departments concerned to ensure the smooth running of the operation.
• Handle ‘no shows’ in accordance with the company standards and procedures.
• Ensure a systematic and orderly filing system of reservations correspondence and other data.
• Ensure effective networking and communication with outside bodies to inform them of room availability.
• Ensure the accuracy of reservations and that they are taken in accordance with the hotel and company procedures.
• Ensure that the necessary systems are in place to effectively deal with guests’ requests.
• Handle telephone reservations queries / complaints in accordance with the company procedures.
• Check the following day’s arrivals and correspondence to ensure accuracy of information.
• Ensure the upselling of rooms.
• Ensure that the telephone standard procedures are adhered to.
• Actively participate in training and development programs and maximize opportunities for self-development.
• Demonstrate service attributes in accordance with industry expectations and the company standards.
• Perform any other duties as may be assigned by the Reservations Manager from time to time.

Requirements:

• Fluency in English; another European language will be considered as an advantage.
• Smart in appearance and highly organized
• Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Able to work on their own initiative and take decisions when not supervised.
• Willing to work flexible hours including weekends and public holidays.
• Willing to travel to different locations to work.
