Job Summary
The Head Bartender oversees the operational planning for all Bars at AX Hotels Qawra. The Head Barman aims to achieve customer satisfaction and quality service while meeting or exceeding financial goals through a detailed forecast to plan and manage all bars. The goal is to maximize sales and revenue through customer satisfaction and employee engagement.
Responsibilities:
- Manage all the Bars operations within budgeted guidelines and to the highest standards
- Preserve excellent levels of internal and external customer service
- Identify customers’ needs and respond proactively to all of their concerns
- Lead the Bars team by attracting, recruiting, training and appraising talented personnel
- Provide optimal customer experience through conflict resolution, creativity and consistently working proactively in delivering high quality results and providing thoughtful and anticipatory service
- Oversee and ensure guest satisfaction for all dining and lounge guests. Comment card scores target of 85% at all times on Trip advisor and such.
- Re-organized and designed entire beverage inventory system including creation of par stock level systems and requisition of all beverage products for dining outlets.
- Provide a two-way communication and nurture an ownership environment with emphasis in motivation and teamwork
- Comply with all health and safety regulations
- Ensure that all directs are well versed and trained in all aspects of food and beverage service
- Lead departmental meetings with staff of all bars
- Administer on the job training programs within the outlets, including new employee orientation.
- Increase employees' morale, and provide coaching and feedback.
- Establish targets, KPI’s, schedules, policies and procedures
- Drive service quality and customer satisfaction
- Manage compliance with food and beverage hygiene policies and procedures
Requirements:
- Excellent communication and listening skills.
- Ability to work under pressure.
- Excellent organizational and prioritization skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills.
- Must be mature, pleasant, courteous, cooperative and an enthusiastic team player who displays good human relations’ skills.
- Must be flexible in working hours, including weekends, evenings and holidays.
- Proven food and beverage management experience.
- Working knowledge of various computer software programs (MS Office, restaurant management software, POS)
- Ability to spot and resolve problems efficiently.
- Communication and leadership skills
- Up to date with food and beverages trends and best practices.
- Ability to manage personnel and meet financial targets
- Guest-oriented and service-minded
- Culinary school diploma or degree in food service management or related field
- Must have at least 3 years in a similar role
