Job Summary
AX Construction is seeking a Junior Architect to join their team. Selected candidate will be responsible for supporting the creation of architectural drawings during the planning stage, preparing detailed design drawings, specifications, bills of quantities, schedules, and relevant documentation for tender packages and will also be involved in evaluating submissions and conducting site visits as required.
As a Junior Architect, the chosen candidate will need to pay particular attention to detail and be able to handle multiple demanding projects at various stages to the highest specifications and standards set by the Group.
Responsibilities:
- Develop concepts and designs to effectively communicate design intent through sketches, presentations, 3D models, and visuals.
- Prepare detailed, well-organized, and accurate drawings to support the design process.
- Understand and incorporate client design objectives into the overall design.
- Coordinate planning permits and drawings, liaising with relevant government departments as necessary.
- Prepare tender documents, including bills of quantities, specifications, drawings, schedules, and other requested documents.
- Manage projects from inception to completion, including overseeing the execution of works, attending site inspections and meetings, compiling snag lists, and ensuring quality control.
- Collaborate and coordinate with team members, management, and directors, providing leadership and expertise to cross-functional teams.
- Develop and execute precise work plans, processes, and structures that align with the company's overall strategies to achieve desired results.
- Attend meetings with clients and team members as required.
- Provide on-site supervision and be willing to work outside the office when necessary.
- Perform other professional or general office work to support the efficient functioning and management of the development office and the company as a whole.
Requirements:
- Graduate architect - A&CE (hons.), not warranted.
- At least 2 years of experience.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD software for drafting and 3D modeling software such as SketchUp or AutoCAD 3D.
- Proficiency in using the MS Office suite.
- Knowledge of PA design guidelines, sanitary regulations, and CRPD requirements.
- Highly organized, self-motivated, and committed to delivering tasks in a timely manner.
- Strong team-player with the ability to take initiative.
- Excellent communication skills.
