Job Summary

The role involves the efficient and secure transportation of goods, documents, and packages from one location to another. Couriers are entrusted with ensuring that all items are delivered to the correct destination promptly and accurately, maintaining high standards of reliability and service throughout the delivery process.

Responsibilities:

• Collecting parcels and packages and delivering these to specific addresses, stipulated in the dispatch officer’s delivery instructions.
• Route planning to optimise efficiency and ensure parcels are delivered on time.
• Conducting address verification before delivery.
• Preventing damage or loss of packages during transit.
• Obtaining signed receipts and confirmation of each delivery.
• Collecting payments where required.
• Communicating with the dispatch officer, receiving new delivery instructions, and
• providing status updates.
• Maintaining accurate paper or virtual records of parcel deliveries.
• Being accountable for the company vehicle, keeping it clean by washing it at
• least once a week, and being responsible for damage brought on by negligence.
• Assists in day-to-day duties as required by the maintenance team.
• Meets any other maintenance requests given by the Head of department or Supervisor.

Requirements:

• EU/ Maltese valid driving licence
• Experience in another job which caries responsibility is an asset
• School Leaving Certificate
• Proficient in both Maltese and English, including verbal and written communication.
