The ideal candidate will be a hands-on leader responsible for ensuring that projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget while maintaining high-quality standards. The Construction Foreman will coordinate and supervise workers, subcontractors, and equipment, as well as monitor progress, enforce health and safety regulations, and resolve any issues that arise on-site.
Responsibilities:
- Direct, supervise and troubleshoot common issues that arise on site.
- Identify the various phases of the project and plan works accordingly, read architectural and structural plans, together with the Project Manager.
- Train the employees on site to successfully complete projects.
- Assign duties and be responsible for monitoring the progress of projects, ensure that timelines and budgets are followed.
- Ensure that employees are qualified and knowledgeable about their roles and assign them tasks according to their skillsets.
- Issue reports and progress updates when requested by the management.
- Together with the Project Manager, organise the site logistics, planning and ordering of supplies, resources, equipment and any raw material required on site; ensuring these are requested in a timely manner to be delivered on site on time.
- Ensure a good relationship with suppliers and stores/logistics department.
- Continuously check works carried out to ensure the right quality and standards are met.
- Ensure safe working conditions and compliance with all Health and Safety regulations and the company's policies.
Requirements:
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar position
- Good communication skills in English
- Ability to organise a work schedule
- Ability to manage a team of workers
- Ability to read drawings and blueprints
