Security Manager

Job Summary

AX Care is seeking an experienced Security Manager to oversee and enhance the corporate and physical security operations of Hilltop Gardens Retirement Village. The Security Manager will lead a team of Security Officers, ensuring a safe and secure environment for all employees, clients, and visitors. This role involves developing and implementing security protocols, managing security staff, and coordinating emergency responses.

Responsibilities:

• Develop, implement, and maintain security policies, standards, guidelines, and procedures.
• Lead and supervise a team of Security Officers, providing clear guidance and support.
• Attend technical and construction meetings as directed by the Chief Executive Officer.
• Establish and maintain procedures for emergency response, ensuring the safety of employees, clients, and visitors.
• Conduct regular security audits and risk assessments, identifying vulnerabilities and implementing improvements.
• Coordinate and manage responses to security incidents, including crimes, fires, and other emergencies.
• Maintain accurate records of security activities, incidents, and actions taken.
• Collaborate with management to develop and implement security training programs for staff.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar position.
• Certification in Security Management or a relevant field (e.g., NEBOSH).
• Proven experience in a leadership or managerial role within security operations.
• Strong understanding of Health and Safety practices.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Proficiency in English.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively within a team.
• Business acumen and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in computer skills.
