Job Summary
AX Care is seeking an experienced Security Manager to oversee and enhance the corporate and physical security operations of Hilltop Gardens Retirement Village. The Security Manager will lead a team of Security Officers, ensuring a safe and secure environment for all employees, clients, and visitors. This role involves developing and implementing security protocols, managing security staff, and coordinating emergency responses.
Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and maintain security policies, standards, guidelines, and procedures.
- Lead and supervise a team of Security Officers, providing clear guidance and support.
- Attend technical and construction meetings as directed by the Chief Executive Officer.
- Establish and maintain procedures for emergency response, ensuring the safety of employees, clients, and visitors.
- Conduct regular security audits and risk assessments, identifying vulnerabilities and implementing improvements.
- Coordinate and manage responses to security incidents, including crimes, fires, and other emergencies.
- Maintain accurate records of security activities, incidents, and actions taken.
- Collaborate with management to develop and implement security training programs for staff.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar position.
- Certification in Security Management or a relevant field (e.g., NEBOSH).
- Proven experience in a leadership or managerial role within security operations.
- Strong understanding of Health and Safety practices.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proficiency in English.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively within a team.
- Business acumen and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in computer skills.
