Painter

Job Summary

The Painter is responsible for maintaining the hotel’s interior and exterior finishes to the highest aesthetic and quality standards. This role involves painting, surface prepa-ration, touch-ups, and ensuring all areas of the property reflect the hotel’s premium image and guest experience expectations.

Responsibilities:

• Perform painting and finishing work on walls, ceilings, doors, furniture, and other surfaces throughout the hotel.
• Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, patching, and priming prior to painting.
• Mix and match paint colours to achieve desired shades and finishes.
• Carry out touch-ups and repairs as needed to maintain consistent appearance standards.
• Ensure safe and proper use of all painting tools, materials, and equipment.
• Assist in maintenance projects such as minor repairs, varnishing, or wallpapering when required.
• Follow hotel safety policies, maintenance schedules, and quality standards.
• Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the maintenance workshop and storage areas.
• Coordinate with other maintenance staff to minimize disruption to hotel operations and guests.
• Report any maintenance issues or hazards to the Maintenance Supervisor promptly.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a professional painter, preferably in a hotel, resort, or similar hospitality environment.
• Knowledge of various painting techniques, surface preparation, and finishing methods.
• Ability to mix paints, use painting tools and equipment safely, and fol-low color matching procedures.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Good physical condition and stamina for manual tasks and working at heights if required.
• Basic knowledge of maintenance operations and safety standards.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
