Job Summary
We are seeking an enthusiastic and skilled Bartender to join our team at the Verdala Wellness Hotel- AX Privilege. The ideal candidate will have a passion for mixology and providing excellent customer service. As a Bartender, you will be responsible for preparing and serving a wide range of beverages, including cocktails, wines, and health-conscious options, while ensuring a friendly and inviting atmosphere for our guests. You will assist with inventory control and maintain cleanliness and organisation at the bar. A focus on quality, attention to detail, and a commitment to guest satisfaction are essential for success in this role.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare a wide range of beverages including fresh juices, wellness shots, herbal infusions, functional drinks, house-made syrups, alcohol-free cocktails, and traditional cocktails as required to fulfil guest orders.
- Provide warm, attentive, and efficient service when taking guest orders, serving drinks, and offering product knowledge.
- Recommend suitable wellness drinks, mocktails, teas, smoothies, and light cocktails to guests based on their preferences, dietary needs, or desired wellness benefits.
- Maintain the bar and beverage preparation areas in impeccable condition, ensuring full adherence to hotel sanitation standards and all local food and beverage regulations.
- Ensure the bar is consistently stocked with all necessary ingredients, including herbal blends, fresh produce, wellness supplements, and alcoholic beverages where applicable.
- Complete inventory forms and request replenishment in a timely manner.
- Prepare and organize all beverage garnishes—both classic and wellness-focused—ensuring the garnish station remains replenished throughout the shift.
- Handle all monetary transactions, billing, and cash float procedures in line with hotel policy and accuracy standards.
- Support the Restaurant Manager and team by assisting with any additional duties or operational needs required to enhance the guest experience.
Requirements:
- Strong knowledge of cocktails, wines, spirits, and health-oriented beverage options, along with mixology techniques.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for engaging with guests.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple orders.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations related to alcohol service.
- Experience in a similar role within a 5-star hotel environment and/or a high quality outlet.
- A minimum of 2 years' experience in the same position is required.
- Fluency in English; additional languages are considered an asset.
