Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated, meticulous, and responsible team player to join our dynamic Finance Department. The Accounts Executive will handle communications with vendors, clients, and internal departments, assist with reconciliations and record maintenance, prepare financial reports, issue payment runs, and ensure smooth office operations as directed by the Finance Manager. The ideal candidate will be professional, courteous, and possess strong computer skills with a thorough understanding of accounting and financial principles.
Responsibilities:
- Perform basic office tasks, including answering phones, responding to emails, processing mail, and filing.
- Maintain databases, ensuring records are complete and current.
- Record information, process, and file forms.
- Assist and complete balance sheet reconciliations.
- Prepare SEPA payment runs.
- Review and post payments received from clients.
- Assist the credit control function with payment follow-ups, reconciliations, sending statements, and payment chasing.
- Update ledgers, research, and resolve discrepancies.
- Abide by all company procedures and accounting principles.
- Respond appropriately to vendor, client, and internal requests.
- Assist with year-end audit requests.
- Provide general office support and administrative tasks as required.
- Maintain accurate financial records, process transactions, prepare reports, and ensure compliance with company policies and statutory requirements.
Requirements:
- Capable of working on own initiative.
- Proficient computer literacy in Word, Excel, and email.
- Experience with accounting packages and MS Office is essential.
- Excellent organisational, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Fluent in English.
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a similar position.
- Advanced level of accounting or an equivalent accounting course.
