Health and Wellness Manager

Job Summary

AX Care is seeking a passionate Health and Wellness Manager to support the Head of Wellness in delivering exceptional health and wellness services at Hilltop Gardens. This role plays a key part in driving operational excellence, regulatory compliance, and a consistently high-quality experience for residents, clients, and guests, while nurturing team performance and supporting sustainable growth.

Responsibilities:

• Support and deputise for the Head of Wellness while leading and coordinating multidisciplinary wellness teams.
• Oversee the smooth day-to-day operation of health and wellness services, ensuring consistent service quality and brand standards.
• Allocate staffing, schedules, and resources in line with operational needs and service demand.
• Ensure high standards of hygiene, safety, grooming, documentation, inventory control, and system accuracy.
• Support operational reporting, reconciliations, performance reviews, budget control, and revenue optimisation.
• Drive revenue growth through treatments, retail, rebookings, service enhancements, and collaboration with Marketing.
• Deliver a consistently high standard of resident, client, and guest experience, including professional handling of feedback and complaints.
• Ensure compliance with Maltese health, safety, wellness, and clinical governance regulations, supporting audits and inspections.
• Promote continuous improvement through staff training, development initiatives, and a holistic, person-centred wellness approach.

Requirements:

• Proven experience in health services, wellness, spa, hospitality, or clinic management.
• Experience working within a multidisciplinary environment, including regulatory inspections and audits.
• Strong leadership, people-management, and organisational skills.
• Commercial awareness with experience supporting revenue growth and budget management.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays as required.
• Knowledge of Maltese health and wellness regulatory frameworks.
