Job Summary
AX Group is seeking a detail‑oriented and proactive Procurement Coordinator to support the Development Department, the unit responsible for consolidating and driving the Group’s activities within the development sector. The selected candidate will play a key role in strengthening the procurement and supply chain function by managing supplier research, coordinating quotations, preparing purchase orders, and supporting all sourcing activities.
This role ensures the efficient and timely acquisition of materials and services while upholding AX Group’s standards of quality, cost effectiveness, and compliance. The Procurement Coordinator will collaborate closely with internal teams and external suppliers to maintain smooth operational workflows and contribute to the success of the Group’s development initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Research and identify potential suppliers based on project or operational requirements.
- Request, collect, and compare quotations to support sourcing decisions and negotiations.
- Assist in evaluating supplier capabilities, lead times, and compliance documentation.
- Prepare purchase orders and ensure accuracy of specifications, quantities, and pricing.
Track order status and follow up with suppliers to ensure timely delivery. - Liaise with logistics teams to arrange shipments, deliveries, and customs documentation
when required. - Coordinate with warehouse or site teams to confirm receipt of materials.
- Maintain the database accurate with supplier records, pricing lists, and performance data.
- Update internal systems with pricing, delivery dates, and supplier information.
- Assist in preparing reports on cost savings, supplier performance, and sourcing activities.
- Ensure all sourcing activities follow company policies and procurement procedures.
- Assist in collecting certificates, technical data sheets, and compliance documents.
- Support quality checks by coordinating with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
Requirements
- 2+ years Procurement experience, preferably within the construction or civil engineering sector.
- Strong background in tendering, contract negotiation, and supplier management.
- Familiarity with construction materials, MEP systems, finishes, and specialist
subcontractors. - Experience working closely with project managers, quantity surveyors, engineers, and
site teams. - Strong understanding of construction contracts.
- Proficiency in procurement software, ERP systems, and MS Office.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Strong analytical and cost-evaluation skills.
- Excellent negotiation and communication abilities.
- Strong organisational and time-management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure.
- High level of integrity, professionalism, and attention to detail.
