AX Care is looking for a new Commis Chef. This role focuses on delivering excellent guest care while supporting smooth kitchen operations. You will prepare and present high‑quality food, maintain strong teamwork across departments, and ensure your section runs efficiently and safely. You will follow established standards, keep your workspace organised, and respond to guest needs with professionalism and care.
Responsibilities:
Contribute to the production, preparation and presentation of all food items to always ensure highest quality. This also includes the employee restaurant.
Establish and maintain effective employee relations and interdepartmental working relationships.
To wear the correct uniform ensuring you are always smart and clean.
To check your rota, arrive on duty punctually and be flexible to work when requested.
To adhere to the opening, service and closing procedures as instructed and established standards.
To continuously liaise closely with the immediate supervisor to ensure prompt and courteous service to all customers.
Maintains the mise en place as per requirements.
To store all food items accordingly, checking quality and rotation
Requirements:
Solid knowledge of cooking techniques, food safety standards and kitchen operations
Ability to manage a specific section of the kitchen effectively and assist in overseeing other team members.
Fluency in English, additional languages are considered an asset.
Food handling course B and any other related courses will be considered an asset.
