Job Summary
AX Group is looking for an experienced Project Manager, to lead diverse construction projects from initiation to completion. The selected candidate will play a pivotal role in ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality and safety, all while aligning with the company’s strategic goals.
Responsibilities:
- Plan, coordinate, and manage all phases of construction projects, including design, execution, and handover.
- Develop and maintain detailed project schedules, budgets, and resource plans
- Supervise and guide project teams, including contractors, subcontractors, and consultants.
- Foster effective communication and collaboration among all team members to ensure successful project outcomes.
- Ensure strict adherence to laws, regulations, and AX Group’s quality standards.
- Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, ensure compliance, and maintain construction quality.
- Prepare and manage project budgets, ensuring cost efficiency and accountability.
- Review and approve invoices, change orders, and financial reports to maintain fiscal control.
- Act as the primary liaison for clients, suppliers, and other stakeholders.
- Provide consistent updates on project progress, risks, and milestones to stakeholders.
- Identify potential risks and develop effective mitigation strategies.
- Resolve project issues promptly to avoid delays or additional costs.
- Maintain comprehensive project records, including contracts, schedules, and progress reports.
- Submit detailed updates to the Construction and Development Director, ensuring transparency and accountability.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, construction management, or a related field.
- A proven track record in managing large-scale projects, strong leadership abilities, and expertise in construction management processes.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in construction project management, preferably on large-scale projects.
- Proficiency with project management tools and software.
- Strong leadership, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- Strong knowledge of construction principles, materials, and methods.
- Familiarity with local regulations, health and safety standards, and quality control practices.
- Flexibility to work across multiple sites in Malta as required.
- Ability and flexibility to meet project deadlines.
