Maintenance Technician

Job Summary

We are looking for a reliable and hands‑on Maintenance Technician to support the smooth operation of our facilities at AX Care. The ideal candidate is proactive, technically skilled, and committed to maintaining a safe, efficient, and well‑kept environment for our residents, guests, and team.

Responsibilities:

• Carry out routine maintenance on equipment, plant systems, and facility infrastructure.
• Diagnose and repair faults across electrical, mechanical, and basic plumbing tasks.
• Perform preventive maintenance and complete checklists as scheduled.
• Handle basic building works including painting, plastering, carpentry, and minor repairs.
• Respond to urgent repairs and equipment failures when needed.
• Maintain pools and ensure procedures are followed correctly.
• Log all work in the maintenance system for full traceability.
• Support residents by addressing requests promptly and supervising contractors.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and technical standards.
• Take care of tools and stock and assist in maintaining adequate inventory levels.
• Recommend improvements to equipment, systems, and energy‑saving initiatives.
• Oversee company vehicle servicing to avoid downtime.

Requirements:

• 2 years hands‑on maintenance experience in a similar role.
• Competence in preventive maintenance and use of maintenance checklists.
• Skilled with hand and power tools and safe handling practices.
• Comfortable using CMMS or maintenance ticketing systems.
• Basic IT literacy including email and spreadsheets.
• Already residing in Malta.
