Job Summary
AX Care is looking for a practical, reliable, and hands‑on Maintenance Technician to support the smooth running of the village. This role helps keep the property in good working order, ensures residents feel safe and supported, and contributes to a well‑maintained environment across all areas of the facility.
Working closely with the Head of Maintenance, you will be part of a small team that handles day‑to‑day upkeep, routine checks, and general technical support. The focus is on being organised, responsive, and consistent, helping the village operate comfortably and efficiently for residents, visitors, and staff.
Responsibilities:
- Carry out electrical and general maintenance work across the facility.
- Diagnose issues, repair or replace parts, and complete corrective tasks.
- Follow manuals, schematics, and work orders to complete maintenance jobs.
- Perform routine preventive maintenance on equipment and plant systems.
- Handle basic mechanical, plumbing, carpentry, and minor building repairs.
- Log all maintenance work for full traceability.
- Respond to urgent breakdowns when needed.
- Support pool upkeep and general village maintenance.
- Assist residents with maintenance‑related concerns and coordinate with contractors.
- Ensure work meets safety, legal, and technical standards.
- Maintain tools, equipment, and spare parts responsibly.
- Support stock control and suggest improvements to facilities and equipment.
- Ensure company vehicles are serviced on schedule.
Requirements:
- Up to 2 years hands‑on maintenance experience is a must.
- Ideally in possession of Electrical Licence A & B or currently in process.
- Competent in preventive maintenance planning and execution.
- Skilled with basic hand and power tools, with safe handling and accountability.
- Comfortable using CMMS / maintenance ticketing systems.
- Basic IT literacy (email, spreadsheets, document management).
