Purchasing Manager

Job Summary

AX Hotels Qawra are seeking a proactive and commercially minded Purchasing Manager to lead procurement activities across the business. Reporting to senior management, you will be responsible for sourcing products and services, maintaining optimal stock levels, managing supplier relationships, and ensuring cost-effective purchasing practices that support our day-to-day operations.

Responsibilities:

• Manage the procurement of goods and services required across the business.
• Source, compare, and evaluate supplier quotations to secure the best value and quality.
• Negotiate pricing, contracts, and service agreements with suppliers.
• Raise and manage purchase orders while ensuring compliance with company procedures.
• Track orders and coordinate deliveries to ensure goods arrive on time.
• Monitor stock levels and place replenishment orders as required.
• Maintain accurate purchasing records, supplier information, invoices, and delivery schedules.
• Prepare reports and cost analyses to support business decision-making.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and key stakeholders.
• Resolve delivery issues, shortages, and supplier-related challenges efficiently.
• Ensure all stock is delivered to the correct locations and within agreed timelines.
• Lead and motivate the Purchasing team to achieve operational targets and high levels of productivity.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and inventory control standards.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost savings

Requirements:

• 2–5 years' experience in a similar role within the hospitality industry
• MQF Level 4 qualification or higher.
• Excellent command of the English language, both written and spoken.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
• Strong negotiation and supplier management skills.
• Excellent organisational and analytical abilities.
• Proven leadership and team management experience.
• Ability to work in a dynamic, multi-service environment and coordinate cross-functional activities.
• A proactive approach with strong decision-making and problem-solving skills.
• High attention to detail and a commitment to delivering results.
