Job Summary

Verdala Wellness- AX Privilege is looking for a highly presented, warm, and guest‑focused F&B Host to be the face of the restaurant from the moment guests arrive. This role is central to creating a refined first impression, managing the dining room flow, and supporting a seamless, Forbes‑aligned guest experience. You will be the first point of contact for our guests, ensuring every interaction feels welcoming, organised, and genuinely attentive while supporting the team with service needs when required.

Responsibilities:

• Welcome guests warmly and professionally, ensuring a strong first impression.
• Manage reservations, walk‑ins, waitlists, and seating flow to support smooth operations.
• Escort guests to tables, present menus, confirm requirements, and ensure proper table setup.
• Handle calls and guest enquiries, including reservations, feedback, and special requests.
• Coordinate with service teams on pacing, table turns, VIPs, and special occasions.
• Respond to concerns professionally and escalate when needed.
• Maintain host stand and entrance areas clean, organised, and stocked.
• Support F&B service and perform cashiering duties when required.
• Follow hygiene and safety standards and participate in briefings, handovers, and training.
  

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years’ experience in luxury hospitality or high‑quality restaurants.
• Currently living in Malta.
• Fluency in English; additional languages are an advantage.
• In possession of a wine or cocktail certificate.
• Warm, confident, and professional communication style.
• Experience with reservation systems and guest interaction.
• Strong organisational skills and ability to manage guest flow.
• Accurate cashiering skills.
• Knowledge of Forbes standards preferred.
