Job Summary

As a Shutterer you'll play a vital role in the construction process by installing and fixing steel structures across various project sites.

Responsibilities:
- Assemble, install, and dismantle formwork and shuttering systems for concrete structures in accordance with drawings and specifications.
- Ensure formwork is accurately aligned, levelled, braced, and secure prior to concrete pouring.
- Modify and adjust shuttering systems to suit site requirements and construction tolerances.
- Operate hand and power tools, formwork systems, and equipment safely and efficiently.
- Inspect work for quality and report defects, misalignments, or safety concerns to site supervision.
- Handle, store, and maintain formwork materials and equipment to maximise reuse and minimise damage.
- Work collaboratively with site teams to meet project deadlines and quality standards.
- Maintain high standards of housekeeping and comply with all Health & Safety regulations, site procedures, and PPE requirements.
- Carry out any other duties within the scope of the role as reasonably required by management.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Shutterer within the construction industry.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, dimensions, and site instructions.
- Good knowledge of formwork systems, shuttering techniques, and safe working practices.
- Physically fit and capable of carrying out manual work in a demanding construction environment.
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality and accuracy.
- Strong commitment to Health & Safety standards and safe working practices.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a site team.
- Reliable, responsible, and able to meet project deadlines.
- Willingness to work outdoors and across multiple sites as required.
- Relevant trade qualification, skill card, or construction-related certification will be considered an asset.
