Sandra joined Cheeky Monkey Valletta around four years ago as a Food and Beverage Operative. Since then, she has become a valued member of the team, known for her warm personality and the smile she brings to work each day.
When asked to describe her experience at Cheeky Monkey in three words, Sandra chose “friendly, rewarding and excellent”. These words reflect the supportive environment she has found within the team and the pride she takes in her role.
“I’m lucky to have a great team, and I’m very proud of that,” she shares.
Sandra believes that honesty, politeness and kindness are essential when working with people. Whether she is welcoming regular customers, serving visitors or interacting with families and children, she always aims to make each person feel comfortable and valued.
The importance of a smile
Sandra’s positive attitude has not gone unnoticed. She was recognised as a Smile Champion by the Management Team, an award that holds special meaning for her.
“It means a lot to me, and I am very proud,” she says. “I am glad that my work is recognised by the management.”
For Sandra, a smile is an important part of good hospitality. She believes that guests remember how they were treated and how a place made them feel.
“In hospitality, the first thing you want is to always keep a smile on your face,” she explains. “A great smile can make the customer leave the place with good memories.”
