Christie and Danny: A Journey of Growth and Gratitude
At AX Group, we’re always thrilled to celebrate our people, especially those who have left a lasting impact. We’re giving a warm and cheerful shoutout to Christie Jocson and Danny Boy Tugade Brazil, two team members whose six-year journey has been nothing short of inspiring. From stepping into the unknown to becoming an integral part of the Under Grain family at Rosselli-AX Privilege, Christie and Danny’s story is one of passion, perseverance, and teamwork.
From Newcomers to Key Players at Under Grain
Christie and Danny’s AX story began in 2017 when, through an external agency, they were interviewed for the launch of a new hotel, Rosselli-AX Privilege. Having just arrived in Malta, they were eager to explore fresh opportunities and instantly felt welcomed by the AX Group family. From day one, they were provided with hands-on training and the support they needed to thrive in a brand-new environment.
Memories that Matter
Over the years, Christie and Danny have built a treasure trove of memories, but one moment that stands out was working alongside Chef Victor Borg. “He was like a father to us here in Malta,” they shared. “We’ve learned so much from him and we’ll always carry those lessons with us.”
Growth Fueled by Culture
For Christie, what began as a role as a commis waiter turned into a rewarding path to becoming an outlet manager, a transformation she credits to the culture of learning and empowerment at AX. “I’m extremely grateful for all the training given to me,” she said. Danny echoed this sentiment, adding, “Always make sure you enjoy what you do, that’s one lesson that will always stay with me.”
A Team On and Off the Floor
Working side by side at Under Grain, Christie and Danny found motivation in each other. “Although we held different roles, we always supported one another,” they explained. Their collaboration and shared dedication helped shape a strong and dynamic team that felt more like family.
Parting Words of Advice
As they move on to new adventures, Christie and Danny leave behind valuable advice for anyone just starting their AX journey: “It’s a rewarding experience within a supportive and dynamic environment. Embrace the learning, trust the process, and believe in yourself.”
What They’ll Miss the Most
The duo will fondly remember AX Group’s commitment to continuous learning, the recognition that fuels motivation, and the unwavering belief the management team had in them. “We always did our best, and we hope we’ve made a difference.”
