Job Summary
The Housekeeping Supervisor will oversee and coordinate the daily housekeeping operations to ensure that the highest standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and presentation are consistently maintained across all areas of the hotel. This role involves managing a team of housekeeping staff, implementing efficient cleaning schedules, and performing quality checks to guarantee a positive guest experience. The ideal candidate will bring their expertise in housekeeping management within large hotel operations and multi-outlet settings, contributing to the smooth running of the department and an exceptional level of service.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate daily housekeeping tasks, ensuring assigned areas meet the hotel’s high cleanliness standards.
- Train, guide, and support the housekeeping team to maintain consistency in service and performance quality.
- Inspect guest rooms and public spaces to ensure they are well-maintained and align with hygiene standards.
- Address and resolve guest requests and complaints regarding housekeeping services promptly and effectively.
- Ensure inventory of cleaning supplies and amenities is managed efficiently, coordinating replenishments as necessary.
- Monitor compliance with health and safety regulations within the housekeeping department.
- Prepare shift schedules and assign duties to ensure adequate coverage at all times.
- Conduct performance assessments and provide constructive feedback to team members.
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years in a supervisory housekeeping role, ideally within a large hotel operation or multi-outlet environment.
- Proficiency in the English language, with strong reading and writing abilities.
- Certificate in hospitality or a related field is an advantage.
- Skills Pass certificate considered an asset.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills; attention to detail; ability to work under pressure.
